VIVIAN YAN
Hospital Manager and Veterinary Technician
Vivian Yan is the Hospital Manager here at The Cat Practice. She has worked for us for eleven years and is a vital member of our practice. Vivian attended LaGuardia Community College, where she received her Associates’ Degree in Science with honors. She has been practicing as a licensed Veterinary Technician for ten years now. Vivian is responsible for everything from overseeing our other technicians to ordering medical supplies. She starts off her day by beginning treatments, feeding, assessing the patients and reports to the doctor. Vivian literally keeps this hospital going. Vivian is an avid cat lover and a pro at spoiling your beloved felines rotten.
MUBARIK SHIFA
Veterinary Assistant
Mubarek Shifa is another invaluable member of our family here at The Cat Practice, since 1999. Mubarek was born in Asmara, Eritrea, a small country in East Africa. Mubarek grew up very close to all kinds of animals and developed a great deal of feelings for them and sympathy for their hardships. He worked in New Jersey with all kinds of small animals for nine years. He is a hard working and compassionately dedicated to care of your beloved felines. Mubarek derives an extreme amount of satisfaction and pleasure from helping animals, especially cats.
SONYA VARGAS
Client Relations' Manager
Sonia Vargas manages the front desk/ receptionist area at The Cat Practice. Sonia has been a part of our family for the past seven years. As many of our clients know the front can get real busy. Sonia manages to answer the phones, your questions and schedule appointment and much more all with calmness and efficiency. Sonia is also known to sometimes act as a foster mother to some of our strays. Every chance Sonia gets she could be found snuggling and talking “baby talk” to the cats. On several occasions Sonia literally “loved” kittens back to health.

YOLANDA LEBRON
Client Relations' Specialist
Yolanda Lebron has been with The Cat Practice family for five years as a receptionist. She always loved being around cat and other animals. Yolanda’s days consist of answering the phone lines, handling appointments, assist clients in food purchases and much more. Yolanda greets everyone whom visits with a warm family like smile just as if you were walking into her own home. She makes sure that your experience here at The Practice is the best experience you and your cat receives.

PETER HOLDER
Veterinarian Technician Assistant
Two years ago Peter Holder joined The Cat Practice’s family as an animal caretaker. He was in charge of maintaining the boarding areas, as well as other areas. Shortly afterwards Peter started training to become a veterinarian technician assistant. His current duties consist of assisting the veterinarians with procedures, distributing medications and gathering medical information. His love for cats has grown so much since joining our family. Peter has adopted three stray cats and given them a stable, warm and loving home.

DEVAUGHN HOBBS
Veterinary Technician
Devaughn Hobbs has been with The Cat Practice family for three years as a Veterinary Technician. He loves working with animals and their owners. Devaughn works under the supervision of our veterinarians and takes his job very seriously. He is responsible for the handling of laboratory specimen, taking radiographs, monitoring anesthetic and so much more. He treats each cat as if they were his own. He even goes out of his way sometimes to make sure the cats get the best possible treatment they could receive.

PATRICIA HUCKS
Animal Caretaker
Patricia Hucks is one of our newest members to our family. She has been with us for less than a year. Patricia works directly with the patient’s, watching for nooks that needs to be cleaned, tracking appetite, elimination and other vital information. Her job generally includes cleaning, feeding and exercising patients and maintenance of their boarding area. Patricia also assists the veterinarian, veterinary assistant and/ or technicians by restraining the patients during procedures.
